TDEPD – Golden State’s First Line of Defense

In 2016, nearly 60,000 acres of California wild forest have been consumed by forest fires. To help combat these fires, the California Fire Department needed a way to accurately monitor system water pressure at a water storage facility in the remote Santa Cruz Mountains. The facility is used to provide extra water in the event of a forest fire. They contacted Cannon Water Technology for a solution.

To keep project cost under control and facilitate installation by on-site maintenance personnel, a Transducers Direct TDEPD sensor became the obvious choice.

TDEPD Pressure Sensor - Transducers DirectThe TDEPD Pressure Sensor was selected for this project due to its small form factor and multi-functional capabilities which includes a 360 degree viewable bi-colored LED display, programmable current or voltage output and integrated digital switch outputs. The sensor is completely Field Programmable allowing for a quick and easy setup and installation. This extremely flexible yet very powerful pressure switch/transducer with LED display is the Golden State’s first line of defense.
