CirrusSense Router Technical Details

Supported Wireless Networks

The CirrusSense Router supports the following types of wireless networks:

  • WEP
  • WPA-PSK
  • WPA2-PSK

Ethernet Information

A standard CAT5 or CAT6 cable can be used with the Router. Please note that the Router
does not support PoE. It is highly recommended that you do not connect a Router to any
PoE capable switch.

Connecting a Router to a switch with PoE active could cause permanent damage to your Router.

Firewall Configuration

The CirrusSense Router uses HTTP to communicate with the CirrusSense Cloud portal.
Data is sent via ports 80 & 443. In/out rules will need to be added to any firewalls as
applicable for your network.

The default router configuration uses Google DNS servers for name resolution.

In summary, the following ports will need to be open for any routers on the networks:

  • 80
  • 443
  • 53 (only if using Google DNS or any other DNS service outside of your local network)

The Router sends its information to the following domain: https://cirrussensecloud.transducersdirect.com.

Please note, the IP of the CirrusSense Cloud portal is subject to change.

Email Configuration

The CirrusSense Cloud portal sends notifications to you via email. Some of these notifications may get caught in your spam filter. It is recommended that no-reply@transducersdirect.com is whitelisted on your spam filter to ensure that you always receive these notifications.
